Capsicum chinense
Mass carrier with attractive, mild, small, round, pointed fruits.
The plants grow to a height of approx. 50-70 cm and form numerous bright yellow balls with an elongated tip (approx. 2.5 cm long). The taste is fruity, slightly smoky, aromatic and the slight spiciness is barely noticeable. The teardrop-shaped variety supposedly comes from Brazil and translates as “little yellow beak.” The flavor spectrum offers many possible uses such as marinades, stews, grilled dishes or for preserving.
